Interest has been soaring as people are searching more about how the metaverse will influence their daily lives.

Analyzing if metaverse represents the future of social media

The Web 2.0 era witnessed the rise of user-generated content. The emergence of instant messaging apps, micro-blogging platforms, and video-sharing sites led to interoperability. AR Filters – Augmented Reality will transform the future of entertainment and gaming. Smartphone cameras can be used to create characters and develop avatars. Hence, there is an interactive experience during video conferencing, live streaming, and group calling. There are several applications of AR. It can be used while scanning objects, organizing live events, and playing games.

For instance, the addition of AR effects on stories and reels makes the content more interactive. Therefore, the AR filters represent computer-generated effects layered over real-life images. Creators and brands will experience a rise in engagement by sharing attractive photos and attention-grabbing videos powered by Augmented Reality.

3D Spaces – In a shared virtual world, 3D will play a crucial role in the evolution of the metaverse. Image capturing and graphic designing will help brands to attract customers through the visual representation of products.

Organizing hybrid events like concerts, festivals, and celebrations using 3D visualization and reconstruction will enable users to interact and engage seamlessly. The digital world will act as an immersive environment that closely reflects the happenings of real life. Hence, all virtual objects will have a physical existence.

Virtual Reality (VR) – It creates a sensory experience identical to physical reality. People can visit different environments without leaving their homes. Currently, VR-powered headsets allow users to attend events and play games with their friends. Content consumption will slowly move from 2D to a simulative environment. There are 3 types of VR, Non-Immersive, Semi-Immersive, and Fully Immersive.

For instance, body-scanning technology allows shoppers to try on outfits before they actually purchase them. Virtual Reality will make a big impact on the fashion industry. In the coming years, digital stores and virtual catwalks will become commonplace.

VR can also revolutionize travel. People can opt for virtual tours and visit international destinations right from the comfort of their homes. “Try before you Fly” is an intelligent tactic to attract bookings from excursionists.

The entertainment sector is also using VR in a big manner. Ahead of the release of a film, animated performances of the lead cast, snippets of red carpet events, and exclusive interviews will ensure that fans get emotionally connected with the characters portrayed by the actors and actresses.

Virtual Reality (VR) is changing how people exercise. They are performing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts in a digital environment of their choice. Fitness freaks are joining digital classes and doing full-body workouts with on-demand instructions coming from certified trainers.

Steve Aoki, an American DJ came out with his own metaverse named A0K1VERSE. It is an exclusive membership community. Fans can get tickets for his concert, and obtain access to rare NFTs, digital wearables, free merchandise, and attractive apparel. Users can also buy land next to “Aoki’s Playhouse” in the Sandbox. The value of the digital land will vary based on the location of the plot and the proximity to the Playhouse of Aoki. Steve also purchased 8 Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) collectibles.

Does metaverse reflect the future of the Internet?

Metaverse will operate as an extension of the online world. Virtual Reality will play a key role as trends like digital concerts and immersive entertainment take over. Thus, the Web 3.0 era has the potential to transform the functioning of various sectors. Users can interact with anyone across the globe irrespective of their location.

The metaverse will unite people across borders by bringing them into a digital universe. Importantly, individuals can create their virtual world, build structures, and also develop digital properties. The future of the metaverse will also depend on the technology regulations passed by different countries along with concerns related to privacy and security. As the Web 3.0 revolution takes off, the powers will shift from big tech giants to individual users. Sophisticated devices will offer a multi-sensory experience.

COMEARTH will be the world’s first e-commerce metaverse. It will be the one-stop destination for brands, customers, and advertisers. Users can attend events in the metaverse and also discover their favorite products. They will generate value through engagement. Land parcels of different sizes are available for purchase. NFT holders are known as citizens of COMEARTH. They receive rewards for promoting the right kind of engagement on the virtual planet. We aim to build a 3D immersive metaverse ecosystem that powers e-commerce for 100,000 brands by 2025.

Conclusion

In the coming years, Decentralized Applications (DApps) and VR headsets will determine the future of digital identity. The metaverse will redefine how people perform their daily activities. The Internet has evolved over time. Metaverse will be driven by a user-centric approach with more attention to interoperability and cross-platform communication. As discussions over the future of social media and the Internet reach a tipping point, the metaverse will turn the world into a hub of interconnected virtual communities.
